Festival Walk Four 6-7.15pm
Meet at Baker Street Tube Station
Janice Liverseidge leads four walks linked to Handel, his
contemporaries and life in Georgian London. All take place
just before a festival concert and finish in time to take
your seat.
MUSICAL MARYLEBONE WALK
Tonight's early evening walk provides a wealth of insights into the
area's musical connections, from the music schools and burial
place of the great hymn writer Charles Wesley through to the
delights of the pleasure gardens frequented by Handel and the
famous eighteenth century shell grotto. In addition we'll see
where other more contemporary composers have lived. We end
our musical interlude at Wigmore Hall.
Tickets: £8 or £6 if you book
